The BSCWeasel is an extendable Rich Client for the BSCW Groupware System. It is realized with the help of the component or to be precise with the plug-in concept of Eclipse. The starting point was, to provide more flexibility using the BSCW Groupware System, which focuses on Shared Workspace functionality. But also features of synchronous cooperation are implemented, adapting a Jabber System. This opens new opportunities to combine the Share Workspace functionalities of BSCW with the Instant Messaging functionalities of Jabber.
