What is BSCW?
BSCW is a WWW-based system to support cooperative work trough the use of shared workspaces. Users can share their documents, or calendar as well as address-book entries or start discussions.

BSCWeasel is a client for the BSCW system, based on Eclipse. It features new ways to use BSCW and through it's architecture it is easy to tailor the client to your needs. Besides flexibility, the main advantages are (vgl.

BSCWeasel archieves it's flexibility amongst others throught a component-based approach.
Eclipse as base technology means BSCWeasel uese a mature industry standard for component-based software. Components are called "Plug-in". BSCWeasel completely consists of a collection of Plug-ins, which interakt with each other. BSCWeasel can be easily upgraded by addind new Plug-ins. Enthusiasts and developers can add new functionality to BSCWeasel by using clearly defined interfaces. (vgl.:
